Elevate youth support as a Child and Youth Care Team Lead in Edmonton, Alberta. This full-time role focuses on providing essential services and developing individual care plans for vulnerable youth.
In this pivotal role with the Ministry of Children and Family Services, you will oversee the care and therapeutic support of youth. Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team, you're tasked with ensuring a safe setting and monitoring progress effectively. Your leadership will inspire Child and Youth Care Counsellors while enhancing youth transitions to independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary care provider for assigned youth
• Develop and implement personalized care plans
• Offer group and individual counseling support
• Maintain daily records and progress evaluations
• Ensure safety through risk assessment and crisis intervention
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care plus 2 years of experience
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License
• Cultural competence with Indigenous youth preferred
• Certification in First Aid with CPR
• Leadership experience in youth care settings
