Job Summary

Hewitt’s Dairy Ltd. Is seeking 2 Filler Operators to join our Production team!

In this role, you will operate and monitor filling and packaging equipment while ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and according to established food safety and quality standards.

You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, cross-train on different equipment, and work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams.

Available Weekend Shift Schedules:

Position 1: Friday, Saturday & Sunday — 12-hour shifts

Position 2: Saturday, Sunday & Monday — 12-hour shifts

Candidates must be available to work the full assigned 12-hour shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate filling and packaging equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure efficient and consistent line performance.
- Conduct required quality checks, including verification of seal integrity, product specifications, package weights, and other defined quality parameters.
- Manage assigned production orders and ensure production quantities are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine equipment and process checks and identify potential issues before they impact production.
- Perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures and other required sanitation activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete all required GMP, MSS, HACCP, production, quality, and packaging documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform required line checks and maintain accurate production and packaging records.




- Work collaboratively with internal departments to investigate and resolve production, equipment, and quality issues.
- Provide relief coverage for other machine operators and plant support functions as required.
- Participate in cross-training to develop proficiency on equipment and processes throughout the facility.
- Follow all applicable Food Safety, Quality, Health & Safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in required training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of GMPs and HACCP, including excellent sanitary habits, is required.
- Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience, preferably in a food or beverage environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability.
- Good communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- Computer skills and experience working with automated machinery.
- Ability to commute/relocate to Hagersville, ON
