Help maintain Oakville’s roads this winter as a Seasonal Labourer. This full time position runs from October 19, 2026, to April 16, 2027, with various shift requirements.
The Town of Oakville is looking for Labourers to fulfill seasonal roles critical for winter road management. Responsibilities include operating machinery, physical labour, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Candidates should be ready to work both independently and as part of a team while holding a DZ driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect leaves, brush, and clean up public spaces
• Operate small vehicles and snow clearing equipment
• Assist with installing and maintaining infrastructure
• Maintain vehicles and report any mechanical issues
• Execute traffic control and safety operations
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Valid Class DZ Ontario Driver’s License
• Ability to work minimum of 40 hours in winter conditions
• Background in park or road maintenance preferred
• Flexible to shift work including weekends
