Reporting to the Recreation & Leisure Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of activities across all five health domains aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life. Your expertise in recreation studies and hands-on experience in geriatric settings will allow you to make a significant impact through engaging, restorative programming. A positive attitude and robust organizational skills are essential in this fulfilling position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, implement, and review recreational calendars for residents
• Facilitate programs that meet physical and intellectual health needs
• Evaluate resident engagement and program success
• Work collaboratively with families and staff
• Ensure activities meet applicable health care regulations
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in recreation or related discipline
• Experience within long-term geriatric care environments
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
