Options Community Services seeks a Young Parent Support Worker in Surrey to uplift and empower young families through support and guidance. Be the catalyst for positive change!
In this temporary full time role, you will provide vital assistance to young parents by helping them build parenting competencies and community connections. Your outreach will include goal-oriented strategies, crisis intervention, and collaboration with social workers. You will play an essential role in helping families thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to young parents in need
• Work with social professionals to enhance community outreach
• Offer crisis intervention and parenting strategies
• Connect families to health, education, and employment services
• Promote independence and social adaptability
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care or similar
• First Aid certificate must be current
• Experience in crisis line support is desirable
• Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
• Sensitivity to diversity and ethical standards in interactions
