Seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Splicer to join our utility crew in the County of Renfrew. Work Monday to Friday, focusing on fiber optic splicing and testing.
In this full time position, you will assist the Civil Construction Supervisor and ensure the successful execution of daily operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including splicing different types of fiber optic cables, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining site safety standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients will enhance our service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform splicing and testing for fiber optic cables
• Troubleshoot network system issues for clients
• Read and interpret splicing documentation
• Operate necessary splicing/testing equipment
• Document completed work accurately
Requirements:
• CFOT or CFOS/S certification is a plus
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• A valid Driver’s Licence is required
• Physical capability to maneuver materials
• Adaptable to various working conditions
