Contribute your skills as a Special Needs Assistant with the Dehcho Divisional Education Council in Sambaa K'e. Provide vital support to students encountering various challenges in their learning workplace.

This term role, effective until June 2027, calls for candidates passionate about education and student welfare. You will work with students under a Principal’s supervision, helping to reinforce learning through direct assistance and classroom duties. Familiarity with local languages, Sign Language, or Braille can enhance your effectiveness in this position, as communication is key.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with the Principal to support student learning
• Conduct individual and small group instruction reinforcement




• Demonstrate caring and positive interactions with students
• Prepare educational materials for special programs
• Keep precise records of student progress and IEPs

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience
• Experience with children having identified special needs
• Ability to read and follow educational directives
• Satisfactory criminal records check required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
