Support peers in their recovery journey as an Addiction and Mental Health Peer Support Worker with CMHA Thames Valley in London, Ontario. This full time role focuses on impactful peer engagement and skill-building.

In this position, you will be providing crucial support through the Peer Support Program, leveraging your lived experiences to foster meaningful connections and pathways to health. You'll model self-help strategies, facilitate supportive groups, and assist individuals with navigating necessary local resources for their wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Engage peers using shared lived experience for connection
• Assist in developing wellness and community transition plans
• Facilitate life skills and peer support groups




• Document support sessions and track peer progress
• Maintain effective communication with the support team

Requirements:
• Secondary School diploma is a must
• Demonstrated lived experience of mental illness/addiction
• Valid G class driver’s license required
• Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check needed
• Regular attendance at work is essential
