Wanuskewin is hiring a Director, Finance and Administration to provide leadership and oversight of financial management, administrative operations, and human resource functions. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team, this position helps ensure the long‑term sustainability of the organization through sound financial stewardship, effective planning, strong internal controls, and organizational support.
Responsibilities Responsible to ensure financial management practices result in ongoing stewardship, cost efficiencies, and strong operating results.
Responsible to develop and maintain Wanuskewins overall operating and capital budgets, cash flow management, and forecasting.
Responsible to manage the annual external audit process and present reports to the Board of Directors.
Responsible for ensuring compliance and reporting for all funding sources.
Responsible to accurately oversee the accounting and internal reporting cycles.
Responsible to oversee all aspects of human resources administration.
Responsible for the management of information technology services and oversight of external support provision.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in finance, administration, business management, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
An undergraduate degree in business is required.
A Chartered Professional Accountant designation or working towards designation is preferred.
