Become an Addiction Counselor with St. Michael's Homes, working part time in a Bed-Based Treatment Program. Focus on client support, crisis de-escalation, and community engagement.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of addiction, mental health, and trauma recovery. You will perform brief interventions and individual counseling while recording notes via EMHware. Additionally, you'll ensure the safety of the environment and develop programming resources for clients in need.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual counseling and health promotion
• Utilize EMHware for accurate client record keeping
• Engage with community resources and partners
• Monitor safety and prompt response to emergencies
• Prepare templates for group sessions and handouts

Requirements:
• Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in addiction support and counseling
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Familiarity with harm reduction strategies an asset
• Mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations
