Become a vital part of the North End Community Health Centre team as an Accounting Assistant. Your role will focus on general accounting, vendor coordination, and supporting NECHC’s financial operations.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Assistant will help build financial frameworks that align with the strategic objectives of NECHC. This role requires collaboration with third-party organizations, ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations. Robust administrative skills and computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft 365, are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage general accounting functions for NECHC
• Coordinate day-to-day financial operations with stakeholders
• Assist in accounts payable processing and reconciliation
• Utilize accounting software, including Xero when applicable
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with NECHC standards
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
• Experience with advanced Excel functions is beneficial
• Familiarity with accounting software and vendor management
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
