Take charge of nursing care at Iroquois Lodge as a Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse. This part-time position focuses on ensuring quality and safe care while supervising fellow nursing staff.
Reporting to the Manager of Iroquois Lodge, the Charge Nurse will lead pharmacological care and coordinate resident activities in collaboration with health care teams, including the Attending Physician. Advocacy for care policy improvements and effective management of unit operations are key elements of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional nursing care to lodge residents
• Supervise care from RPNs and PSWs to ensure quality
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Plan and coordinate nursing activities in the unit
• Advocate for improved policies impacting residents’ health
Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse designation
• Solid supervisory experience in nursing
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to implement care policies effectively
• Commitment to ongoing nursing practice improvement
