Job Description Role: Finance MDM Analyst Job Summary: Reporting to the Global Master Data Management Manager, the Finance MDM Analyst will be responsible for the governance, maintenance, quality, and integrity of finance master data across ERP and enterprise systems. This includes managing financial master data such as General Ledger accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Company Codes, Business Partners, Chart of Accounts, and other finance reference data. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Controllers, IT, and other business stakeholders to ensure master data is accurate, standardized, compliant with organizational policies, and effectively supports business operations, reporting, compliance, and ERP initiatives.

Job Responsibilities Manage the lifecycle of finance master data in accordance with established governance policies and standards
Manage finance master data objects including General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Business Units, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Company Codes, Customers and Vendors, Chart of Accounts, Functional Areas, Tax Codes, Asset Classes, Automatic Accounting Instructions, and Distribution and Manufacturing Accounting Instructions
Execute master data setup and configuration within ERP and enterprise systems
Coordinate master data requests and workflows to ensure established data quality standards and service level expectations are met
Execute master data governance processes and approval workflows
Perform data quality checks and identify, analyze, and resolve duplicate, inaccurate, or incomplete records
Monitor data quality KPIs and recommend corrective actions
Support periodic master data audits and data reconciliations
Analyze business requests for compliance and accuracy prior to data entry and completion
Review and improve master data request guidelines and processes




Provide master data support to business departments and elevate issues to the Global Master Data Manager when required
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate master data processes
Analyze audits, metrics, and trends to identify process and data improvement opportunities
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies where applicable
Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and provide data-driven recommendations
Support ERP implementations, conversions, and finance-related projects
Collaborate with IT on master data configuration, testing, and system enhancements
Perform User Acceptance Testing for finance master data changes
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, HR, IT, and other business teams
Coordinate approvals for new master data requests
Understand end-to-end business processes and provide data management and integrity expertise to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, corporate governance standards, segregation of duties, and approval requirements
Maintain documentation supporting audit readiness
Analyze trends and recommend improvements to governance processes
Measure and report on master data quality, request volumes, turnaround times, and compliance metrics
Participate in internal projects and provide subject matter expertise related to master data
Provide business analysis and requirements gathering support for master data project initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional Business, IT, and MDM teams to understand requirements and provide analytical input
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
3–5 years of experience in Finance Master Data Management, Finance Operations, ERP support, or a related field
Strong understanding of data management disciplines including master data operations, governance, data quality, and data analysis
Previous experience with finance and accounting processes and/or managing Finance Master Data within an ERP system
Previous experience with JD Edwards and/or other ERP systems
Understanding of finance organizational structures




Knowledge of Master Data Management principles
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex or technical information to a variety of audiences
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong process orientation and continuous improvement mindset
Strong customer service and time management skills
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, basic macros, fuzzy matching, and conditional formatting
Experience with Microsoft Power BI is an asset
Basic SQL query knowledge is an asset
Experience with workflow or ticketing tools such as ServiceNow is an asset
Certified Data Management Professional designation is an asset
ERP certification is an asset
