As a Daily Shift Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of maintenance for the Victoria Regional Transit System. This full time opportunity involves working various shift schedules, including evenings and weekends. Your leadership will ensure that the fleet of buses operates safely and effectively, supporting public transportation throughout BC.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily repair and maintenance activities of transit fleet
• Manage a large, unionized workforce effectively
• Ensure readiness of buses for daily operations
• Make daily decisions for team operations independently
• Maintain safety standards for all maintenance activities
Requirements:
• Proven experience in team leadership in maintenance
• Certified Tradesman or Maintenance Technician/Technologist
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Background in Heavy Duty or Commercial Transportation preferred
• Ability to work flexible shift schedules
