Elevate your career as a Mammography Technologist at Nova Scotia Health, located at the Valley Regional Hospital. This full-time permanent role focuses on patient-centered care and requires minimal supervision while operating specialized imaging equipment.
As a Mammography Technologist, you will deliver quality imaging services while exercising independent judgment. Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, you'll provide essential support for breast screening and diagnostics. The role includes effective communication in a multidisciplinary team and ensures patient safety across all procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate mammographic and sonographic equipment effectively • Deliver high-quality images for breast diagnostic purposes • Foster communication with multidisciplinary teams • Maintain a culture of safety within the workplace • Travel to additional sites as required
Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology • CAMRT certification and NSRMIRT licensure • Continuing education for CAR Mammography Accreditation Program • Basic Life Support Certification • Experience in Diagnostic Imaging modalities is an asset
