As a Project Accountant in the property and construction industry, you will play a key role in managing financial operations for various projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed financial reports and ensuring accurate cost tracking to maintain budgets effectively. You will also collaborate closely with project managers to ensure financial oversight and compliance.
Our client is a Hamilton-based construction management company that supports a portfolio of businesses specializing in ICI, high-rise residential, and infrastructure projects throughout the GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, and Kitchener-Waterloo regions. The organization manages projects ranging from commercial and institutional developments to high-rise residential construction and related support services within the concrete construction sector.
Description
Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for construction projects from a Project Management perspective.
Fill in any financial gaps from the Project Management team.
Monitor and track project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
Collaborate with project managers to review and analyze financial performance.
Manage accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
Assist in preparing forecasts and budgets for upcoming projects.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve project profitability.

Profile
Experience in financial management within the property or construction industry.
Familiarity and comfortability with on-site project operations.
Solid skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Proficiency in CMIC, Jonas, or Procore.
Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Job Offer
Competitive salary between $70000 and $120000 CAD.
