Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and innovative programming to students in a number of communities. The division is unique in that it is surrounded by a multitude of lakes, golf courses and trails that appeal to an active, outdoor lifestyle while still being in close proximity to larger urban centers.
Edwin Parr Composite School, located in the community of Athabasca, serves approximately 700 students in Grades 7–12. As the largest school in Aspen View Public Schools, EPC offers a broad range of learning opportunities within a contemporary facility opened in 2018. Students have access to a full complement of academic programming, as well as Career and Technology Studies courses including welding, mechanics, woodworking, and cosmetology.
The school also offers strong fine arts options such as music, visual arts and drama. In addition, EPC provides a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, including athletics and other student activities.
Edwin Parr Composite School is recruiting to an enthusiastic and skilled Welding/Fabrication Teacher to join our Grades 7–12 school community for a temporary teaching assignment through November 6, 2026 with potential for extension.
The successful candidate will provide engaging, hands-on instruction in welding and fabrication,
supporting students in developing practical skills, confidence, and a strong understanding of safe shop practices.
