Role Description The Window Coverings Design Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB. This role involves meeting with customers in the showroom and, when needed, in their homes or businesses to understand their needs, style preferences, and budget.

The consultant will provide design guidance on window coverings, recommend appropriate products and fabrics, prepare quotes, and manage orders from selection through installation. Daily tasks include demonstrating product features, supporting sales transactions, maintaining product displays, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction. The role also requires staying current on design trends,



product updates, and vendor offerings while collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Sales skills, with experience in consultative selling, closing sales, and meeting individual or team sales goals.
- Interior Design knowledge, with an eye for color, style, space planning, and coordinating window treatments with overall décor.
- Understanding of Furniture and Furnishings to integrate window coverings into broader room and interior design concepts.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to explain options clearly and professionally.
- Comfort with basic measurements, quoting, and order entry; familiarity with POS or CRM systems is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Winnipeg, MB, including some evenings or weekends as required.
- Previous experience in retail, design consulting, or home improvement is beneficial; training in interior design or related fields is an asset.
