We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to fill our emergency work camp labour crews. You will set-up, maintain, and demobilize provincially-owned emergency work camps throughout the province. You must be willing to work up to 14 days away from home, either in spike camp (tent) or hotel, either in a town/city or 300km down a a forest service road. LOA is provided while working outside of home base (Prince George)
Duties
- Block and level camp trailers, set up stairs, platforms, walkways, large tents.
- Use power/hand tools to construct signage, kitchen trailer deck/awning, tables, shelving.
- Put together the camp utilities/services - hooking up power cables, sewage systems.
- Demobilize the camp by taking down all services, tents, walkways etc.
- Maintain camps - small repairs to trailers and equipment.
- Be drug and alcohol free during an entire work shift (up to 14 days)
- Use telehandler (if certified) to load/unload equipment and infrastructure from flat-decks and dry vans.
- Work in a secure manner while always being fit for duty and wearing appropriate PPE, while following the lead of the crew leader
- Be physically fit as this is a demanding job with up to 14 days of 12 hour-days of physical outdoor labour.
Pay: $322.00-$364.00 per day
