Empower youth as a 1:1 Community-Based Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of London, Ontario. Help children and teens aged 7-18 build confidence and resilience through supportive relationships.
This enriching volunteer prospect requires a commitment of 2–4 hours twice each month for a minimum of 12 months. As a mentor, you will share experiences, engage in community activities, and promote healthy decision-making in youth who face challenges. Your consistent involvement can foster a sense of belonging and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet bi-monthly with your mentee for meaningful interactions
• Commit to a minimum of one year for relationship stability
• Engage in enjoyable, low-cost community-based activities
• Provide positive feedback and encouragement consistently
Requirements:
• Must reside in London, Ontario or neighboring areas
• Ability to attend regular meetings throughout the year
• Transportation arrangements for the mentee may be necessary
