Blumara is seeking an Intermediate/Senior HSI and HFE Engineer in Dartmouth, NS, to enhance the design of marine and defense systems through human-centered solutions.
This position focuses on ensuring that human factors are integral to system design and lifecycle support. Your role will involve verification, validation, and assessment throughout the project timeline, managing the interplay between technical requirements and user experiences effectively. Your insights will drive improvements in training, safety, and operator effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop HSI and HFE strategies for compliance with program objectives
• Conduct detailed design reviews for human factors impacts
• Engage in usability testing and human integration evaluations
• Collaborate with stakeholders in working groups and project teams
• Improve clarity and defensibility of HSI/HFE deliverables
Requirements:
• 4+ years of specialized experience in HSI/HFE
• Degree in Human Factors Engineering, Behavioral Science, or similar
• Understanding of ergonomics and user-centered design
• Strong ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups
• Must qualify for Canadian security screening
