Become a Senior EDIA Consultant with the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism in Nova Scotia, specializing in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility strategies. Drive impactful change through collaboration.
This position is designed for Indigenous applicants or those connected to the Mi'kmaw community. As a leader in the EDIA unit, you will deliver strategic guidance, foster relationships, and promote understanding of systematic racism across public services. This role focuses on action-oriented change and training to enhance workplace inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on the Government’s Accessibility Plan
• Conduct training on EDIA practices for employees
• Collaborate with departmental EDIA leads and community partners
• Identify and dismantle systemic barriers in workplaces
• Develop EDIA-related policies and assess effectiveness
Requirements:
• Extensive project management experience
• Solid background in anti-racism and community engagement
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
• High proficiency in MS Office 365
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
