Salary is commensurate with education and qualifications.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience

Five years comprehensive Materiel Management experience in a health care or related setting, with three years in a middle management position.

Extensive experience with supply chain related key performance measures and executive reporting.

Experience with Lean Principles considered an asset.

Experience with SAP ERP system preferred.

Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Post-secondary degree or diploma in health services, business, public administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred SCMA, APICS or Plog designations.

Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrated poise, aptitude for communicating qualified information, and ability to deal with matters of an urgent or emergent nature.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to utilize information systems technologies for communication, word processing,



spreadsheet applications and other common management needs.

Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.

Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with other individuals in superior, peer, subordinate and client positions.

Demonstrated interest in professional growth.

Demonstrated commitment to optimizing the contribution that Materiel Management can make to the care of individual patients and to the health care system as a whole.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.

Interruptions to respond to questions are common; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.

Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
