Ongwanada is seeking part-time Treatment Counsellors in Gananoque, focusing on direct care and support for those with mental health challenges. You will deliver specialized, trauma-informed care as part of a caring team.
This role emphasizes flexible hours and involves supporting clients in daily activities, assessing treatment needs, and collaborating in treatment planning. Successful candidates will employ a bio-psycho-social approach and maintain active communication with families and healthcare professionals. Experience with complex, dual diagnoses is preferred for effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily living tasks like dressing and bathing
• Conduct ongoing observations and data collection
• Work collaboratively in developing treatment strategies
• Accompany clients to appointments and implement skilled advice
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
• Degree in Psychology, Nursing, or related area
• Maintain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications
• Valid G Driver's License for client transportation
• Commendable communication skills and teamwork
