Shape the future of volunteer engagement at Calgary Humane Society as a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. Your role will focus on enhancing the experiences of over 650 volunteers in our shelter.

You will report directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources & Engagement, responsible for every aspect of volunteer management. The right candidate will excel in interpersonal relationships and be driven to support the welfare of animals. Work collaboratively across departments to inspire our volunteers and enhance their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage recruitment and training of volunteers
• Support volunteers with ongoing engagement and information
• Foster robust relationships between staff and volunteers




• Administer volunteer records in compliance with privacy standards
• Collaborate on awards and annual community events

Requirements:
• High school diploma required, further education advantageous
• Previous experience in volunteer management preferred
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be comfortable handling various animal species
• Must successfully complete a criminal record check
