Join YMCA BC as a part-time Youth Peer Support Worker in Prince George. Use your unique lived experiences to connect with and support youth aged 12-24 in their wellness journey.

This role combines direct peer support with community outreach to offer vital assistance to young individuals. You will work closely with a diverse multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that youth receive the care they need. As part of Foundry, you will lead peer support events and collaborate to create a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual support to youth in need
• Conduct peer support group planning and logistics
• Participate in community outreach and activities
• Collaborate with team members on youth care plans
• Maintain documentation for service consistency

Requirements:
• A year of relevant experience in a support role
• Successful completion of peer support training
• Deep understanding of youth-related issues
• Genuine desire to foster positive change
• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
