Pastry/Dessert Cook
Location: Vernon, BC

In this role, you will be responsible for the production and presentation of a wide variety of desserts, baked goods, and other pastry items to support the resort's dining and catering operations. Your expertise in creating visually stunning and delectable treats will be instrumental in enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are executed flawlessly

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment in the pastry kitchen

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols

Qualifications:

Minimum 1+ years of experience working in a pastry or dessert department in a culinary environment.

Proficient in a variety of pastry-making techniques, including baking,



decorating, and plating

Solid attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing desserts

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Working Conditions:

In this position it involves working in a commercial kitchen environment, which may include exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and the physical demands of standing for extended periods. Proper safety equipment and training will be provided.
