Join YWCA Regina as a Diversion Support Worker, providing critical daytime support for women and families in need. Your focus will be their immediate safety, housing, and health challenges.
This full time role requires a proactive, trauma-informed approach to assist those facing crises. As a Diversion Support Worker, you will build trust and connect clients to essential services, working from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM on a 5-5-4 rotation. Your efforts will help divert those in need away from emergency services through impactful connections and referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster relationships with women and families in crisis
• Link community members to necessary resources and services
• Manage reporting and develop case plans
• Facilitate cultural connections and programming
Requirements:
• No formal education requirement
• 0-6 months relevant experience
• Familiarity with community resources
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Commitment to a client-centered, harm reduction model
