Yard & Delivery Associate – Lumber / Building Materials

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team in a hands-on role with room to grow.

This position will start primarily in our yard, helping customers and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. For the right person, the goal is to train you into a larger role that includes deliveries, operating our crane truck, and making flat-deck runs.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Building and preparing customer orders
- Loading and unloading lumber and building materials
- Processing customer orders and payments
- Helping customers in the yard
- Operating a forklift
- Receiving, organizing, and moving material
- General yard cleanup and maintenance
- General labour as required
- Keeping orders accurate, organized, and ready for pickup or delivery

As you gain experience and demonstrate that you’re dependable, responsible, and capable, we’ll begin training you on the delivery side of the business, including:
- Delivering lumber and building-material packages to customers and job sites
- Operating a crane truck for deliveries
- Making flat-deck deliveries
- Safely securing and transporting loads
- Working directly with customers and contractors on job sites

There is an chance to take on considerably more responsibility as you learn the business.

For the right person, after three months we will pay for your Air Brake Endorsement and Heavy Trailer Endorsement.

Our goal is to develop someone who can become a versatile, trusted member of the team — someone who understands the yard, our customers, our products, and eventually the delivery side of the operation.

- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
- Able to lift and handle lumber and building materials
- Organized and able to pay attention to order details
- Comfortable dealing with customers
- Willing to learn and take on additional responsibility
- Safety-conscious and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s licence
- Forklift experience is an asset, but training can be provided
- Lumber, construction, building-supply, delivery, or equipment experience is an asset
