We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Staff member to join Xtend Rentals. This role involves servicing rental equipment, and helping load and unload equipment for customers. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate equipment safely. This position offers an prospect to work with construction and heavy machinery, supporting our clients' equipment needs while maintaining a well-organized yard.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload rental equipment using appropriate machinery such as forklifts
- Maintain the organization of yard storage areas, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and labeled
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment for safety and operational readiness
- Support in the maintenance and minor mechanical repairs of rental equipment as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all yard activities, including heavy lifting and operation of machinery
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of rental orders
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a requirement
- Experience operating forklifts, excavators and skidsteers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Construction experience or background working with heavy-duty equipment is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Valid certification for forklift and/or first air certification is desirable but not mandatory
- Valid Divers license is mandatory.
