Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. is hiring a Youth Support Worker to champion the needs of Indigenous youth. Offering mentorship and support, this full-time role includes overnight shifts. In this impactful position, you will engage with young people, helping them navigate challenges through trauma-informed care and mentoring.
Your responsibilities will include providing a protected environment, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained accurately. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with youth effectively
- Provide mentorship and support for independent living
- Advocate for youth by offering resources and referrals
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Document all interactions and incidents accurately Requirements:
- Education in Child and Youth Care or related field
- Experience with Indigenous communities
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid certified Champion the well-being of urban Indigenous youth at Ndinawemaaganag, making a difference through support and empowerment.
