Birthday Party Volunteers assist staff by enthusiastically welcoming party goers into the facility and provide general support to birthday children and parents.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with set up, take down, and cleaning of party rooms, including wiping surfaces, sweeping floors, and stacking chairs
- Welcome guests into the facility and guide them to designated areas
- Assist with individual parties as needed (escort guests, help decorate, play games with participants, etc.)
- Assist staff in setting up activities in the gym or other facility areas
- Assist with general maintenance of the facility and equipment
- Ensure the safety of facility patrons and party attendees, and know how to assist in emergency procedures
- Actively participate in program activities and interact positively with children




- Check messages and communicate regularly with supervisors
- Log hours on the appropriate time sheet
- Be reliable and punctual (arrive ready for shift in proper uniform)

Qualities

- Willing to learn current processes and follow procedures
- Enthusiastic, helpful, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with children and adults

WORK TERM:

- September – June.
- Saturdays and Sundays
- 1-2 shifts/week. Shifts are 3-5 hours long.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Between 13 and 17 years of age.
- Completion of minimum of Emergency First Aid with CPR C or Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion.
- Completion of Volunteer Training – Provided by Westside.
