GFL is on the lookout for a Lead Hand who can actively engage with recycling operations while leading a team to ensure safety and material integrity. This role requires both technical skill and leadership.

In this hands-on position, you will conduct sorting duties, manage personnel, and oversee machinery operations. Your role also includes ensuring compliance with strict safety guidelines, training staff, and maintaining operational communication with the management team regarding daily activities and personnel matters.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute sorting tasks to maintain production flow
• Operate and manage recycling equipment during shifts
• Enforce quality standards for material processing
• Communicate effectively about floor operations with supervisors




• Handle shift reporting and staff readiness assurance

Requirements:
• Must possess a high school diploma; further education an asset
• Previous leadership experience in a recycling environment preferred
• Strong background in running recycling machinery
• Forklift certification needed or willingness to secure
• Proficient communication abilities and solid physical stamina
