The Community Worker position involves engaging with tenants at 65 Dundas St E on weekends, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. You’ll support residents in maintaining their housing while addressing health, safety, and community-focused programming in collaboration with staff and local agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor the community and uphold safety protocols
• Engage in programming while supporting tenants daily
• Build rapport and advocate for clients’ rights
• Conduct home visits and assist with appointments
• Maintain thorough documentation and case notes
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in social services and related experience
• Knowledge of social issues impacting housing and health
• Ability to apply crisis intervention strategies
• Robust communication skills in English; other languages are an asset
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening check required
