Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre Society is hiring a Lead Early Childhood Educator to strengthen Indigenous-led programming at the Friendship Centre Cub House in Houston, British Columbia. In this full time role, you will guide educators and engage the community.
This position involves leading the development of inclusive, culturally responsive early learning programs. Collaborating with the Centre Manager and Executive Director, you will focus on emotional and social development, ensuring the curriculum aligns with Indigenous values. Mentorship to staff is a core aspect alongside family engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning and evaluation of early learning programs
• Support developmentally appropriate activities for children
• Build partnerships with families and caregivers
• Mentor ECEs and assist in staff onboarding
• Ensure compliance with Child Care Licensing Regulations
Requirements:
• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate
• Three years of experience in childcare
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• First Aid Certification
• Criminal Record Check and Medical Clearance
