Salary Range: $41,683.20 To $49,824.45 Annually
About the Job:
Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the People & Culture Co-op Recruiter will be responsible for supporting all aspects of recruiting throughout Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP).
They will be responsible for supporting with developing and executing recruiting plans, networking through industry contacts, administrative duties such as onboarding, off boarding and recordkeeping. The individual will ensure that strategic goals established are translated into practical action and that relationships are maximized between clients, employees, and community partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct full cycle recruiting including posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing candidates and scheduling and attending interviews with hiring managers
Create job descriptions, job postings and interview questions
Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure the professional standards are met, recommending revision as needed
Make hiring recommendations, extend job offers to successful candidates and work with hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
Coordinate and manage the onboarding and off boarding program not limited to the following; coordination of SHIP onboarding day, presenting/leading the onboarding day, coordinating IS/office services requirements, employee file management, and coordination with Learning & Development
Prepare and maintain employment records
Support daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, review data, and leverage insights to inform hiring decisions to demonstrate impact and recommendations when working with all stakeholders
Prepare employee change report for Sharing at SHIP communication
Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality care and service delivery based on SHIP’s Vision, Mission, and Values
Adhere to the agency Health & Safety Program and the Client Safety Framework in the promotion of client safety
Perform additional duties as required/delegated
Qualifications:
Experience working with ADP workforce now HRIS system or equivalent
Strong time management and communicator with both internal and external
Creative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment
Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively withdifferent stakeholders
Strong ability tomaintainconfidentiality in the course of work
Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and invisible dimensions of diversity
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision in a team environment
Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
A vehicle, valid driver’s license, and adequate insurance coverage
Reporting Function:
The People & Culture Recruiter will report to the Manager of People and Culture. They will be responsible for delivering all aspects of recruiting success throughout Services and Housing In the Province (SHIP).
They will work with both internal and external customers and will interact with all levels within the organization. They will be a support system, resource, and an advocator for the team and organization.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
8:30am - 4:30pm | Monday – Friday with the ability to work excess/overtime hours where required
This is a 4 month contract
Able to work well with internal and external clients
Able to drive, walk (site locations) regularly
Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
Able to answer and communicate telephone calls and general computer use
Computer screen use (multiple screens if applicable) for prolonged periods of time
Able to lift up to 20lbs (product, documents, etc.)
Travel by vehicle to community sites for client support as required
