Northland School Division is looking for dedicated Substitute Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year at Grouard Northland School. Support student learning from kindergarten to grade 10 while promoting Indigenous culture.

At Grouard Northland School, you’ll follow the prescribed curriculum, plan engaging lessons, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Your role will emphasize the revitalization of Cree language and support community engagement. Ideal candidates bring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to team-oriented decision making while ensuring diverse learning needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Follow prescribed program of studies for each subject
• Plan daily lessons using short and long-range planning




• Provide feedback to students and parents regularly
• Champion Cree language and culture in the curriculum
• Engage with the school-parent-community effectively

Requirements:
• Alberta teaching certification and Teaching Quality Standard
• Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree
• Experience in rural or Indigenous communities
• Leadership skills in language and literacy improvement
• Submit a criminal record and child intervention check
