As an RVT at UPEI, you’ll engage deeply with patient care in the Small Animal ICU while benefiting from mentorship and specialized training. Your role will encompass medication administration, direct nursing care, and collaboration with a highly skilled veterinary team. Participate in patient assessments and maintain communication with clients for optimal care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in technical duties for ICU patient care
• Ensure safe administration of medications to various cases
• Maintain thorough medical records and billing




• Assist with diagnostics and monitor sedated patients
• Uphold high qualified standards in clinical conduct

Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Animal Health Technician program
• Must hold RVT designation; eligibility to write VTNE accepted
• Experience in an emergency setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ethical conduct required
• Familiarity with electronic medical records as a plus
