Our transportation client is seeking a Data Quality Assurance Analyst (10+ years) to support Agile product testing and data validation using SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks

Join a data modernization initiative focused on standardizing and migrating batch and streaming data pipelines within a large transportation workplace. This role supports QA and testing activities across Synapse pipeline refactoring, Azure Data Factory migration, and Databricks integration initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with Agile development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver testing, defect management, and data validation services across enterprise data solutions.

5 month Contract, high chance of extension, Vancouver, Tuesday and Wednesday Hybrid, Working Hours: 37.5 hours PST

Must Haves

10+ years in software QA , application validation , and data validation

SQL , Data Validation , and Test Automation

Microsoft databases , functional testing , integration testing , and test scripts

Agile methodology , Test Plans , and Test Scenarios

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration, or equivalent

Nice to Have

Python

Microsoft Azure Synapse

Unionized environment exposure including CUPE, COPE, and CAW/Unifor

Agile project tracking tools

Automated testing tools such as Fiddler, Selenium, and SoapUI

Responsibilities





Review requirements, background material, and User Stories to support QA activities

Develop QA/Test Strategy and Product Test Plans with development teams and stakeholders

Design and execute Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and automated tests

Prepare test data and configure test environments

Manage Acceptance Testing activities and monitor testing progress

Track defects and maintain defect and issue logs through review and resolution processes

Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standup meetings and related project activities
