Convergint is hiring a skilled Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker to support our team in Fort McMurray. This position involves the full spectrum of sheet metal work in a heavy industrial setting while emphasizing safety and quality.

As a crucial member of the Maintenance team, your expertise will ensure optimal performance of sheet metal systems at the Suncor Base Plant. This role operates on a 14/14 rotating shift and includes accommodation. You will be responsible for everything from installation to repairs and inspections, fostering a collaborative workplace with HVAC mechanics and other trades.

Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate and modify sheet metal systems efficiently
• Conduct repairs on various sheet metal assemblies




• Use tools to accurately cut and assemble materials
• Review drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations

Requirements:
• Alberta Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker Certification
• Clean Class 5 Driver's License
• Preferred experience in oil sands or industrial maintenance
• Fall Protection and Aerial Work certifications are assets
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
