Join the City of Kingston as a Labour Relations Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping a cooperative workforce. This hybrid role focuses on resolving employee relations issues and enhancing managerial skills across the organization.

In this full-time position, you will report to the Manager of Labour Relations and support the implementation of the organization's strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance during collective bargaining, handling grievances, and facilitating training for leadership on labour relations topics. Stay updated on the latest legislation and contribute to strategic discussions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Offer strategic advice on labour relations issues




• Support management in grievance and dispute resolutions
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents
• Prepare proposals for collective bargaining
• Recommend procedural improvements in labour relations

Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Human Resources or similar
• 3-5 years experiencing in unionized labour relations
• Preferred ADR training and CHRP designation
• Extensive knowledge of employment laws
• Ability to manage conflict with professionalism
