This opportunity allows you to join a reputable mechanical contractor known for its excellence in ICI construction spanning over 20 years. As part of a close-knit estimating group, you'll report to the Director of Construction and take full ownership of your projects from start to finish. With a focus on design/build and bid-spec initiatives, your role is vital in driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop full mechanical takeoffs for HVAC and piping scopes
• Analyze drawings and specifications, generating RFIs for scope gaps
• Level and negotiate subtrade and vendor quotations
• Formulate competitive and accurate bid packages
• Collaborate with project managers on design/build projects
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years estimating experience with mechanical contractors
• Skilled in tools like FastPIPE and eTakeoff
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Robust grasp of the Ontario Building Code
• Authorized to work in Canada
