Financial Analyst (20-month term) Count on this!
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Accounting Operations team as a Financial Analyst for a 20-month term. Supporting Corporate Finance and City business units, you will provide financial analysis, reporting, and advisory services focused on accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting. You will oversee reconciliations, resolve accounting and payment issues, strengthen internal controls, and support improvements to financial systems and processes. Using your leadership, communication, and analytical skills, you may also coordinate the work of finance staff, manage projects, enhance financial reporting and accounting systems, and support internal audits.
CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) Designation
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience with a minimum of two (2) years at the Accountant level of experience or higher
Experience or familiarity with AP and payroll processes is preferred
Working knowledge in complex financial systems, internal controls, project coordination, and Public Sector Accounting Standards is preferred.
