Take charge of the rail operations as General Manager with Nova Scotia & Eastern Railway. Oversee service quality and safety standards in this key full-time leadership role.

In this pivotal position, you will report to the Vice-President of Operations while leading the safe operations and high service performance of the rail network. Your responsibilities include managing departmental teams, setting strategic objectives, and ensuring compliance with safety practices. Maintaining robust communication with customers is essential, as is participating in management committees and negotiating collective agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety initiatives and promote team awareness
• Manage and mentor department managers
• Direct the activities of all operational departments




• Develop and implement operating procedures for safety
• Foster solid customer relationships and communication

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree is preferred
• Ten years of railroad management experience
• Strong background in train operations and engineering
• Proficient in MS Office with software learning ability
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety requirements
