Responsibilities
All general maintenance duties on our industrial construction project
Read diagrams and schematic drawings, blue-prints, and service manuals to determine work procedures
Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to accurate tolerances
Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
Perform predictive and operational procedures
Repair and/or replace defective parts
Maintain an inventory of replacement parts
Prepare layout including material selection, sequence planning and methods of work
Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards
Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents
Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required
Other tasks and labor duties as required on the jobsite
Qualifications
Journeyman Millwright ticket or Apprentice ID
CSTS-2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 (site specific)
ESC Confined Space Entry Monitor
Valid government-issued photo ID
Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
Working Conditions
Working at heights
Working in a confined space
Working in and around noise and dust
Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
Must be clean shaven
Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
