Embark on an academic journey as a Sessional Instructional Assistant in Forensic Chemistry at UofT Mississauga. Mentor students through theoretical and practical applications of analytical chemistry.
This Sessional Assistant role is a perfect fit for candidates holding a Master’s degree or currently pursuing one in Forensic Science or Chemistry. Your responsibilities will entail engaging students in practical experiments, discussion sessions, and assisting in their analytical skills development in forensic applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and assist with practical laboratory sessions
• Deliver impactful lab demonstrations tailored for students
• Administer the Quercus course site for course management
• Engage with students during office hours and group sessions
• Mark and evaluate course assignments and exams
Requirements:
• Master’s in Forensic Science/Chemistry (completed/in-progress)
• Experience in forensic chemistry teaching or support roles
• Familiarity with analytical techniques like HPLC
• Preference for UTM graduate research students
• Established relationships with faculty are advantageous
