Become a Journeyman Carpenter with Abbotsford School District and contribute to enriching the educational experience for local students. This 12-month temporary role offers a blend of stability and the chance to work creatively in public service.
As part of the Facilities team, you will construct and repair essential structures using your carpentry expertise. Your role will involve advising other staff and performing inspections to uphold safety standards. We are looking for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and repair wooden structures according to specifications
• Evaluate labor and material needs for projects
• Assist and guide district staff with carpentry tasks
• Inspect and maintain facilities for safety compliance
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner
Requirements:
• High school diploma and Interprovincial Certification
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Class 5 BC Driver's license
• Competency in Microsoft Office and related software
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines
