Become a key player in YWCA Hamilton's financial empowerment efforts as a Financial Literacy Coordinator. Support community members through engaging workshops, outreach, and partnerships that prioritize accessibility and inclusivity.
This temporary position requires 37.5 hours per week and aims to enhance financial education for low-income individuals, seniors, and gender-diverse communities. You will coordinate workshops covering vital topics like budgeting, debt management, and fraud prevention. Collaborating with the Business Advisory Manager, you will ensure that programming is effective and community-focused.
Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate financial literacy programming under the Dollars and Sense initiative • Facilitate workshops on budgeting, debt,
and consumer awareness • Design sessions for entrepreneurs in PowerUp programming • Organize community-based income tax clinics efficiently • Maintain partnerships with agencies and financial institutions
Requirements: • Undergraduate degree or relevant experience • Workshop facilitation experience • Knowledge of financial literacy topics • Robust communication and organizational skills • Commitment to feminist and anti-oppressive practices
