As a Customary Care Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate customary care agreements in collaboration with First Nation agencies. This role includes developing templates for agreements, facilitating effective communication, and conducting compliance reviews. Your commitment to following Anishnaabe values will play a crucial role in supporting families throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate meetings to discuss child welfare agreements
• Develop, implement, and review Customary Care Agreements
• Maintain ongoing communication with involved parties
• Process payments and manage financial allocations
• Conduct home visits to support family wellness plans
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or similar field preferred
• Relevant 2 years of experience in social services
• Solid knowledge of First Nation programs
• Effective communication and advocacy skills
• Computer proficiency required
