In Moose Lake, Minnesota, the DNR is offering a full time NR Technician role focused on seasonal conservation tasks. This position involves protecting diverse habitats and enhancing public lands. You will utilize your skills in operating equipment, managing ecological threats, and facilitating crew training in best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement resource management actions
• Control invasive plant species using various methods
• Conduct prescribed burns and manage wildfire responses
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and field tools
• Assist in ecological surveys for greater biodiversity
Requirements:
• Experience leading teams or volunteer efforts
• Skilled in operating heavy machinery safely
• Certification as chainsaw Faller 3
• Proficient in identifying and managing flora
• Class D Driver’s license and clear driving history
